City Attorney

The North Tonawanda City Attorney is responsible for prosecuting and defending all actions and proceedings by and against the city and all of its departments. In prosecuting and defending on behalf of the City, the City Attorney is responsible for preparing all legal documents, contracts, and deeds.

The North Tonawanda City Attorney and the legal staff handle matters such as small claims against the City, vehicle and traffic violations, and prosecuting housing violations.

The legal department actively participates with all other departments in matters of the law.  The City Attorney acts as counselor and attorney to the various departments and boards within the City.
