Electronic Waste Recycling
The Public Works Department is continuing its effort to provide residents with an opportunity to recycle electronic wastes from their homes in 2010. In our first year of offering electronic waste recycling, residents brought in over 10,000 pounds of electronic waste items from their homes for recycling in 2009. Public Works, in a partnership with the Niagara County Refuse Disposal District and its recycling contractor, Sunnking, Inc., were able to responsibly recycle these electronic wastes and remove them from the waste disposal stream. The following menu of electronic wastes accepted at the Public Works Garage, 758 Erie Avenue, can be brought in from 7:00am to 3:00pm Monday thru Friday (excluding Holidays).
Televisions- Tube type, flat
screen, or projection
The Department of Public Works welcomes all residents of North Tonawanda to take advantage of this opportunity to recycle their household electronic waste. Thank-you. |
