The City of
North
Tonawanda's
Frederick B.
Durkee
Memorial
Bridge
leading to
Tonawanda
Island has
been
designated
for
rehabilitation.
The existing
structure
has
deficiencies
in the deck,
joint
systems and
steel areas
affected by
the deck and
joint
leakage.
The primary
objective of
the project
is to
restore the
structure to
nearly new
condition. A
secondary
goal is to
improve
pedestrian
access
accommodations
for
bicycles.
The City
will have an
information
table with
comment
cards,
brochures
and details
on the
project on
display
through
April 30,
2010 in the
lobby of
North
Tonawanda
City Hall,
216 Payne
Avenue. The
public's
comments are
invited.
